Track Day at Donnington Park, Sunday 31st August 2003

Well, that was rather a rude shock!  One moment I was sweltering in gorgeous Greek sunshine, relaxing on beaches, eating fine food and looking at ancient temples... next thing I knew it was 5:30 the next morning and a 150 mile drive to Donnington Park for my first track day lay ahead of me.  I set off on the stealthfighter and within half an hour my fingers had gone blue from the cold - it was 4 degrees C!  I prayed for the sun's warming rays for the next two hours as I drove up the M1 - stopping for fuel once and being amazed that I wasn't arrested for fraud as I could hardly hold the pen to sign my cheque.

But... it was all worth it because once I got to Donnington Park I had a wicked day.  We raced around the Moto GP circuit which was an incredible, and at times slightly hair-raising experience.

A few photos of the day and a couple of movies are below.  Click on the thumbs to view the photos or movies.
